Responsibilities
- Respond to employee inquiries and third-party requests.
- Maintain proper documentation practices including digital filing, scanning, and system updates.
- Partner with HR and Benefits teams to support cross-functional payroll processes and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide administrative and project support as needed, contributing to ongoing payroll process improvements.
- Review and verify timekeeping records, wage calculations, and deductions.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 600+ employees in multiple states and locations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Prepare payroll reports for internal use and external audits.
- Stay up to date with compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
- Perform periodic audits of payroll data.
- Assist with the year-end payroll process, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
- Reconcile payroll data.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and use of formulas.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills including time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information and address sensitive issues with discretion.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree a plus
- FPC or CPP a plus
