Responsibilities

  • Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample.
  • Labeling and safely storing samples to be shipped
  • Determining and performing tests needed.
  • Must be comfortable handling urine specimens as an essential job function.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work collection environment.
  • Package specimens for transport and ship to lab.
  • Maintain accurate & confidential patient records
  • Performs Triage (Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Temperature, Weight, and Height) at each visit
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Communicate effectively within the healthcare team.
  • Enters & scans all pertinent patient information and notes in EMR software
  • Prepares Eval Rooms and Procedure Rooms for patient encounters
  • Cleans Eval Rooms and Procedures Rooms post patient encounters
  • Performs patient drug screening
  • All other duties assigned including duties performed for affiliates, assigns, lessees, contractors or other third parties

Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Quickly and accurately type notes into EMR as provider dictates
  • Strong computer and phone skills
  • Navigates multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance policies (e.g.; HIPAA)
  • Regular and reliable attendance, required
  • EMR, KASPER, INSPECT knowledge and experience, preferred
Education & Experience: 
  • High School diploma or Equivalent
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position will include sitting and standing with occasional light to medium lifting. Ability to help lift patients and transport in wheelchair from clinic to parking lot. An employee must meet these requirements to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. Reasonable accommodation will be made in accordance with ADA rules and regulations.
